The design label Faiza Saqlain has been in the industry for quite a few years and with each passing year the brand has set the bar higher. Staying true to bridal bonanza, Faiza Saqlain brought the celebratory melodies on runway with her bridal collection ‘Shehnai’ on day one of Pantene Hum Bridal Couture Week 2018.

Inspired by the festive wedding culture in the subcontinent and its rich heritage, her bridal designs featured luxe traditional silhouettes adorned with dainty details and handcrafted intricacies. The colours used in the assortment predominantly followed a festive palette – red, pink, peach and gold – giving life to the theme of the collection. Faiza Saqlain’s bridal wear line had staples such as lehenga-cholis, saris, anarkalis and churidaars and the designer worked with pearls, sequins and stone work to form floral motifs over luxurious silk and shimmery tissue fabrics.

The artistry meant to praise a radiant woman who dresses to perfection during wedding celebrations and is an embodiment of grace and poise. Faiza’s showstopper Ayeza Khan sashayed the ramp in an exquisite red bridal ensemble adding her star charisma to the line. The actress’s twirl in the haute anarkali with elaborate golden work was a hit, making audiences root for her in awe.

The range also features a few occasion-wear numbers which are less accentuated in design. This particular bright pink angrakha-style anarkali with a gota hemline and an embroidered dupatta is an eccentric look perfect for a friend’s shadi. In addition the fuchsia pink anarkali is a must-have desi ensemble. The highlight of the piece is a dupatta with gota details and a beautiful bodice with gold embellishments.
