Friends star Jennifer Aniston, who is still as beloved as she was back in the 90s for her role as Rachel Green, decided to join Instagram on Tuesday, and quickly claimed the world record for the fastest to reach 1 million followers!

The renowned actress gained a million followers just 5 hours and 16 minutes into the initiation of her account, beating Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s record. The first photo on the account was another record breaking photograph of the Friends gang. Yes, a picture of all the 6 friends whose shenanigans were/are the highlight of every 90s adult and kid’s TV experience.

The photo went up on 15 October  at 1:03 pm GMT, with the candid group shot captioned, “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM”. The photo went viral almost instantly, even crashing the Instagram application. Of course, fans of the series went wild on social media, and even those who are just fans of Jen, as her friends call her according to her bio, were over the moon.

The actress has now amassed around 13.3 million followers in just 3 days, and revealed on the Jimmy Kimmel show that she was pretty reluctant to join Instagram. “What you resist persists so what the hey?” explained Aniston when asked about finally giving in.

She also confirmed that she had a secret account before she made an official one. “It was a stalker account, yes. But I was thinking about doing this [starting a real one],” she said.
