Eid calls for elaborate fashion but it is hectic to find exquisite fabric, get it stitched and designed in trendy styles then think of a chic way to don it as well. Élan’s assortments have always been a savior in this regard as the brand brings you the best of fashion-forward ensembles while staying true to eastern aesthetics. The latest to launch is Élan Festive Collection which resonates well with the idea of this celebratory spirit.
The three-piece unstitched range is rendered in a variety of fabrics from organza, net, raw and pure silk. The 8-piece Festive collection has an assorted colour palette with a mix of pastel hues, breezy shades and a few dark jewel tones. While some designs have heavy embroideries, the others are light on embellishments and high on styling to keep the overall vibe fresh and classy. Here’s a rundown of what stood out in the collection:
The ladylike tapestry
Paler hues are all the rage this spring/summer season. If you’re wondering how to combine these pastels and make sure they don’t look washed out, take a pick from Élan’s Festive wear. The collection has something pretty to offer in creamy whites and dusty blue and green.
This luminous shade of pale yellow is decorated with palm leaves and delicate flowers. The foil printed dupatta with a rich silver floral pattern is the highlight of the ensemble. Another creamy white number is adorned with delicate hyacinth florals in mossy green and slate grey hues. The ensemble is stitched in two ways; you can either get it styled as a pretty lehenga and choli with peplum details or wore it like a frock with an open front panel. We absolutely loved the scalloping details on the dupatta.
Aquatic splash
This mint and powdery lilac number is a little heavy on embroidery, but its sherbet hue perfectly dials down the drama. The dreamy dress carries with it a hint of fresh spring flowers and looks like as if they are drenched after a rainy day in summer.
Delicate tones of turquoise, aquamarine and cream dominate this powdery blue ensemble which has subtle hints of starburst, galaxies and flora in embroidery. A pleated ombre detailing over the dupatta or the tri-coloured hems are some of the examples of refined trimmings that can be spotted.
Pops of radiant colour
Radiant jewel-toned pieces can add depth and elevate any festive look. Emerald green has an alluringly mysterious quality to it and the lush embroideries here are laid out in cream silk threads. The delicate lotus buds over the tapestry present a beautiful sight along with the interesting loop details. We also give a thumbs up to those pleated bottoms!
Shades of purple have always been associated with royalty and excellence. To add more to the combo, add various other jewel tones to the shade of amethyst such as gold, plum and green. This number offers an exciting drape for all three pieces with a cinched waist, appliqué work on pants and a jacquard print dupatta.
