Ever since the announcement of star-studded drama serial Alif last year, fans of the ensemble cast, especially Sajal Aly and Hamza Ali Abbasi, are eagerly waiting for its release. The finer details of the project were kept under wraps and we have so far seen only a few photographs on social media. Good news is that the wait is over; finally, the drama is all set to hit the small screen.
Produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz’s production house Next Level Entertainment, Alif is ready to go on air in September 2019. Sana Shahnawaz recently posted the news on her Instagram, while she announced another exciting news about Alif’s OST.
“Just got done previewing the final cut of OST adaptation of ‘Alif’ by the super talented Shuja Haider. Once again you’ve done an amazing job. Also, I’m delighted to have Momina Mustehsan sing our first ever OST which is also her first OST in her melodious voice. The result has been simply mesmerising & magical,” she wrote.
The producer also wrote “Coming Soon, Sept2019, Geo Entertainment” which are enough hints to paint a clear picture.

With Momina Mustehsan and Shuja Haider on board, we can’t wait to hear this melodious number. However, the drama itself is going to be a roller coaster ride with stars like Sajal, Hamza, Kubra Khan, Ahsan Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Sadaf Kanwal and veterans like Manzar Sehbai, all roped in one play.
Written by renowned writer Umera Ahmed and directed by Haseeb Hasan, Alif’s teasers will soon be released on Geo Entertainment.
