With 2018 proving to be a dynamic year for Pakistani cinema, more and more films seem to be breaking records previously set. The latest to do so is The Donkey King, which has now crossed the PKR 10 Crore mark in less than a month’s time.

According to verified sources and box office website numbers, the animated film featuring voiceovers by Jan Rambo, Javed Sheikh, Hina Dilpazeer and several others has managed to collect PKR 10 Crore in its two-week run. Reportedly, it has raked in a collection of PKR 5 crore in just its second week, alone.

The Aziz Jindani directorial is also one of the few films, which has crossed the lifetime collections of many blockbusters during its first week.

The film has also managed to keep itself relevant in the cinema allocation and at the current moment, has managed to keep about a 40-50 percent screen time throughout Pakistan. However, in the coming days, it may face a tough challenge from grand Bollywood releases such as Thugs of Hindostan.

Will donkey-fever manage to keep the young and young at heart glued to their seats for longer? Time will tell…
