In keeping with the tradition, Aurat March was held on International Women’s Day in several cities across Pakistan. People of all ages attended the march hosted in different cities including Hyderabad, Ghotki, Lahore, Islamabad and Multan on 8th March, while the march in Karachi was held on the 12th this month. Women, along with men, celebrated womanhood and advocated for the their rights as they demanded freedom from the shackles of patriarchy, a voice which is not shut down, justice in all forms.
Mira Sethi who was also in attendance at the Aurat March shared a heart-warming video on Instagram. She talks about how in spite of the fact that Pakistan has several problems to deal with, senior journalists focus on associating ‘haya’ (honour) with woman and that seems to be the focal issue that will solve all the problems of the country.

As the Aurat March was held in full swing, there were several posters that caught our attention and we we loved. Have a look!
A request of all female drivers indeed.
We couldn’t agree more.
We appreciate these woman who stand against injustice in any form.
