After receiving praise for his previous stints on the proscenium arch such as Pawnay 14 August and Kyun Nikala?, acclaimed playwright Anwar Maqsood is all set to work on his latest project, Naach Na Jaanay.

According to a report in Instep, the writer is collaborating with play director Dawar Mehmood for the upcoming theatre play, which will serve as a prequel to social satire Aangan Terrha that was launched by the duo in 2013.

“This is the story prior to Aangan Terrha and highlights what led to the things that happened in the latter,” Anwar Maqsood told the newspaper during a telephonic conversation. “It is set during Zia ul Haq’s martial law.”
