With the ever-growing popularity of Pakistani Ramazan dramas, due to light-hearted comedy, integration of domestic relationships, and feel-good romance, it goes without saying that this year is going to be no different. As Ramazan approaches, four Pakistani dramas are all set to air this Holy month, breaking the stereotypes established over the previous years.
This year, we are going to witness a fresh break from the story of cousin marriages and will see the debut of new faces on our TV screens. Coupled with rollercoaster of emotions, comedy, laughter, romance, and even action, this year’s Ramazan dramas tick all the boxes.
Here are four Pakistani dramas that are going to air this Ramazan.
1. Chand Tara (HUM TV): Starring Ayeza Khan and Danish Taimoor
Director of Chupke Chupke and Hum Tum, Danish Nawaz has helmed another Ramazan serial Chand Tara starring the real-life couple Ayeza Khan and Danish Taimoor in lead roles. Written by Saima Akram Chaudhry, the story revolves around two polar opposites with different ideologies about life and marriage. Ayeza will be playing the role of a doctor who wants to live in a joint family after marriage while Danish Taimoor will be essaying the role of a software engineer who wants a nuclear family. The supporting cast includes Romaisa Khan, Aashir Wajahat, Adnan Jaffar, Saba Faisal, Behroze Sabzwari, Madiha Iftikhar and Rehan Sheikh.
From the teasers, we can see that Danish Taimoor’s character is hopelessly in love with Ayeza’s character and is putting in the effort to win her heart. Both the actors have successfully managed to bring their off-screen chemistry to television. The teasers include a bit of banter, comedy, family drama, and of course romance.

2. Heer da Hero (Geo Entertainment): Starring Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan
Upcoming Ramazan drama Heer da Hero is all about bringing action and drama to the screen and adding the Punjabi touch to this year’s Ramazan dramas. Written by Amar Khan and directed by Saima Waseem, the drama is shot in Lahore and will star the Dum Mastam duo Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan as the lead pair. Imran Ashraf will be essaying the role of Hero Butt, a bold and fearless alpha male, while Amar Khan will feature as Heer Jatt, a charismatic social media influencer.
Deviating from the format of stereotypical Ramazan dramas, Heer da Hero is offering its viewers an action-thriller with Punjabi humor. Inculcating relevant punchlines and addition of real-life inspired one-liners, the teaser of Heer da Hero instantly catches the audiences attention. Amar and Imran both look convincing in their roles.
The drama is produced by Asad Qureshi and Abdullah Kadwani under 7th Sky Entertainment. The cast features Usman Peerzada, Kashif Mehmood, Afzal Khan Rambo, Waseem Abbas, Ismat Iqbal, Naseem Vicky, Muneeza Arif, Rahim Pardesi, Ahsan Khan, Kinza Malik, and Haim Khan.

3. Fairy Tale (Hum TV): Starring Hamza Sohail and Sehar Khan
Helmed by the director Ali Hassan (who also directed Paristan), penned by Sarah Majeed, the second HUM TV Ramazan drama is titled Fairy Tale. It features fresh faces and new pairings which has got us already rooting for the show. The drama stars Hamza Sohail and Sehar Khan as one couple and also marks the debut of Adnan Raza Mir (brother of Ahad Raza Mir) and Aena Khan. The cast also includes Ali Safina, Saleem Sheikh, Salma Hasan, Tehseen Wajahat, Hina Rizvi, and Saman Ansari in pivotal roles.
The plot of the drama revolves around the love story of two young couples and how their relationship evolves with time. The drama encapsulates a wide range of emotions as it involves family drama, romance and, a sparkle of comedy. The two couples perfectly balance each other out as one of them adopt a more subtle expression for declaration of love while the other is engaged in constant banter.

4. Teray Ane Se (Geo Entertainment): Starring Muneeb Butt and Komal Meer
Muneeb Butt and Komal Meer are once again bringing their magic back on screen after they won hearts in the ongoing drama serial Qalandar. The drama is written by Samra Bukhari and directed by Zeeshan Ahmed. The narrative of the drama unfolds the story of a guy and a girl who are completely at odds but soon fall for each other. Will they accept their fate and love or will their egos take over? This remains to be seen. Overall, the drama promises hearty laughs and a good family watch.
