In the last few days, any rally, protest or procession of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) is proof that Pakistan’s entertainment industry is throwing its weight behind Imran Khan. Celebrities have always been a supporter of the former premier and voiced their opinions on social media, raising funds or attending his events. However, it is unprecedented to see these stars taking out their time, visiting rallies in different cities, participating actively in politics, standing with the public to protest against Khan’s dismissal, posting about it online and just being very charged in general.
Despite the political turmoil and confusion, the people of Pakistan have made it clear that they are not ready to give up this time. They will stand with their leader and the support isn’t a fad because it is not dying down. Several A-list celebs were seen at the the historic PTI jalsa in Karachi; it was the second rally organized by PTI since Imran Khan’s ouster from power.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan has demanded early elections and vowed to take his protest demonstrations across the country until his demand is met. On Saturday, he addressed the charged crowd at Karachi’s Bagh-e-Jinnah and demanded that a judicial commission be made under the Chief Justice’s command to decide on the merits of his claims regarding the foreign threat letter.
He claimed that the “imported” government was trying to push his party out of the political arena through the foreign funding case, therefore, for the sake of fairness, the court cases against PPP, PTI, and PML-N must be heard together.
What an emotional speech by Chairman Imran Khan at the #KarachiJalsa last night.
Pakistanis across the globe are mobilized now and we all have one demand, which is #PakistanNeedsElections

And the stars are supporting the movement as well. Social media is buzzing with pictures of familiar faces from the showbiz industry who were seen at the rally.
Syra Yousuf, who also attended the first rally, was seen holding up the Pakistan flag against the backdrop of the mausoleum of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
“There is no power on earth that can undo Pakistan,” she posted on Instagram, quoting Jinnah.
