After rumors started circulating last night that Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain had indeed gotten engaged way before the Lux Style Awards, Yasir himself took to Instagram to lay them to rest.
Yesterday, Iqra’s sister, Sidra Aziz, posted a long congratulatory post for her sister on her seemingly recent engagement with Yasir Hussain. What followed was a blur of assumptions and rumors, with hawk-eyed fans noting that Iqra’s dress and hairstyle were the exact same as they were in a picture that she had posted on her Instagram back in February.
Putting two and two together, people were convinced that the duo had in fact gotten engaged before the public proposal at the LSA ’19 that made headlines earlier in July.
After the rumors swirled on social media through out the night, Yasir finally made a statement on his Instagram this evening. According to Yasir, the pictures are from a traditional baat pakki ceremony, which entails the two families finalizing the arrangement of the marriage. He maintained that the two had not gotten officially engaged at that point, and that the proposal at LSA ’19 was legit, which is why Iqra was stunned.
