The annual Cannes Film Festival might be widely recognized as a stage to showcase the world’s greatest film talent, but it also plays host to some of the biggest and best red carpet fashion of the year after the feisty Met Gala. The 10-day long fest is drawing to a closure now and with over a week of celebrations, the French Riviera has given us a stream of celebrity beauty looks to obsess over.

Here, enjoy a close-up of our top 5 picks of breathtaking hair and makeup looks from the Festival de Cannes. You can incorporate these trends in your Eid looks as well.

Bella Hadid

This one is quite a beautiful conundrum. Though classic red lips had a moment on Cannes this year, Bella’s bold red Rouge Dior lipstick in 999 Matte shade says that she means serious business and then we look at her hair that hints at a party spirit. Tightly pulled high on her head, those bouncy ringlets were secured in a way that they went in every direction like shaking a leg on the dance floor.

Deepika Padukone

beauty

Negating every order of the rule book, Deepika went for a bold hairstyle and feisty makeup together (not to mention along with a statement-making dress). We love that super-high and sleek ponytail, the dramatic black eyeliner on her lower lash line; winged both outward and inward. She indeed looked like a futuristic bride!

Priyanka Chopra

beauty

While many celebrities sported the trend, Priyanka has gone all out with her eyeliner game at Cannes. She opted to go bold with bright colours. This baby blue shades defines her upper lash line perfectly, while thick mascara coats call for extra attention. She has kept rest of her makeup subtle, with a middle parted updo to keep her eyes center of the look. You can also spot colour eyeliners on Deepika, Kangana and many others.

Elle Fanning

beauty

Elle was a walking talking dream in all her looks. She went soft, bold and even dramatic as the actress was hitting the red carpet more than anyone else (as a member of the jury of course). This dreamy crown braid had to be in the list of most beautiful looks served up at Cannes. The crown braid was accented with tiny roses and daisies, perfectly complementing the floral print of her Valentino gown.

Amber Heard

beauty

Amber brought retro drama to the red carpet with her side-swooped hair combined with a classic French twist in the back. The sculptural hair-do somehow looks very futuristic. Though her hair was the highlight of the look, Amber’s makeup also stood out with copper brown eyeliner slightly smudged around the eyelid, nude lips and the right amout of contour and highlight.
