Last week Rafay Rashdi announced the entry of Faysal Quraishi as an antagonist in his much-anticipated web series Baadshah Begum. The producer is actively looking for actors and the recent one is Mohsin Abbas Haider who has joined the ensemble cast.
In an exclusive conversation with Something Haute, Mohsin shared that he was in talks with Rafay for a long time about the web series.
“Rafay wanted me to play a different character and I was interested in another role. I later realised after going through the whole script that the character Rafay had suggested is more relatable. I felt a connection with this particular character and now we are working on it,” Mohsin said.
We have earlier reported that Imran Ashraf, Gohar Rasheed, Iman Ali and Faysal Quraishi are already on board for the series which is going to be a story of sibling rivalry. Baadshah Begum’s plot depicts how members of a family are in a constant struggle to acquire power within the family.

Talking about his character, Mohsin shares that he will be playing one of the brothers who is the most rational, composed and wise person in the lot.
“I am playing one of the siblings who has a sober, calm and humble persona. Amongst his other siblings, he is the smart one who has a revolutionary nature but is mature and understanding at the same time,” he said.
Mohsin is excited to be a part of Baadshah Begum as the actor prefers unconventional stories. “It is going to be my first web series and I am excited to be a part of such an offbeat project. I love playing unconventional roles and this series offers me one. We will start shooting for it in October,” he added.
