Zara Shahjahan’s latest lawn collection – Morocco: A Love Affair with Marrakech – not just busts these old-fashioned ideas, but is also an ode to the North African country and its culture.
The brand has sought inspiration from the Islamic art of Morocco, including its historic pottery. The designs incorporate complex geometric arabesque patterns and floral motifs over vibrant hues and subtle pastels. Most of them are available in two color ways. When stitched in classy styles, the range can be worn for luncheons and soirée alike.

Soft & Sophisticated
With a checkered ivory base, the design boasts of red or blue floral motifs. The wide-legged printed trouser with tiny gold specks complements well the crisscross shirt. Another hit number is this beautifully balanced palette of earthy tones. Accentuated by a finely rendered paisley pattern and delicate embroidery, the dress has been paired with a colourful silk dupatta and schiffli pants.

Moving on to another vivid and lively print, here’s one in a bright green hue with embroidered patches for neck and hem. The design is also available in a demure lilac shade for a more subtle look.

What stands out the most in Zara Shahjahan’s lawn collection is its beautiful dupattas. We spotted digitally printed drapes in chiffon and silk along with jacquard and organza nets. A myriad of embellishments and patterns can be seen including plaids, checks, scalloping and tassels.
