Insta round-up: 8 engaging celebrity posts other than the 10-year challenge

Thanks to social media we are able to connect to celebrities, be part of their celebrations and revisit their memories. This week many artists were seen revisiting their old pictures, thanks to the Facebook ’10 Year Challenge’. While the challenge was certainly the highlight, there was more that happened which got our attention. From film release dates to new music and PSL, here’s a list of our favourite (and certainly fan favourite) moments of the week:

 

1) Fawad Khan’s PSL anthem 

The day Fawad Khan won our hearts once again through his melodious yet powerful voice with the PSL 2019 anthem Khel Deewano Ka. This is Fawad’s first commercial performance after a long time and certainly a great one.

2) Katrina Kaif’s message to Malala Yousafzai

In a heartfelt shoutout to Malala Yousafzai, Katrina -as she read Malala’s new book We Are Displaced- said that she was inspired by the social activist and hopes that there are more people like her in this world.

3) Poster release of Heer Maan Ja 

The motion poster of Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan’s next film together Heer Maan Ja released this week. The directorial venture of Azfar Jafri is slated for an Eid-ul-Adha release.

4) Wajahat Rauf’s revealed the release date of his web-series 

Mehwish Hayat’s highly-anticipated web-series -featuring Azfar Rehman and Asad Siddiqui in lead roles- had its trailer launch. The romantic drama series will release on January 21 on Eros Now only.

5) Mawra Hocane appearance in Aangan 

The highly-popular period play Aangan finally had Mawra Hocane’s first appearance this week. Last week, Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir made their appearances in the drama.

6) Pop-band Strings released ‘Naina’

The band is constantly strumming the ‘strings’ of our hearts with new music. This new collaboration with Indian singer Sona Mohapatra is magical and certainly an addition to our playlist.

7) Urwa Hocane’s announced her production venture 

The Qasim Ali Mureed film Tich Button will star Farhan Saeed and Feroze Khan in lead roles and is slated for release in 2019. This will mark Urwa’s debut as a producer.
