One of Bollywood’s highly anticipated film, Simmba has all Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan fans on their toes. Last week, producers released song Aankh Marey which quickly went on to trend on YouTube.
Now, they are back with another rendition of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s hit soundtrack Tere Bin — which has now been sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan — but unfortunately it fails to live up to the original.
Simmba seems to be a movie which features only remakes of popular songs and no originals. While this has grown to be a popular practice in Bollywood, it mostly, if not always, disappoints fans. Although Aankh Marey had quite a few similarities with the original, Tere Bin seems to just fall flat for a number of reasons.

The ballad, though not completely unbearable, fails to spark the charm which was expected from it. Ranveer and Sara Ali Khan’s romance looks anything but natural. Moreover, Aseer Kaur’s vocals are a total mismatch with Sara’s persona so maybe, a different vocalist could have seemed more natural.
The exotic locations in the song are overcompensating for the romance that is missing between this jori. It could be because we have never seen Ranveer as a quintessential romantic hero, performing at foreign locations to woo his on-screen ladylove. Sara appears to be a novice while romancing the actor. However, her expressions are truly worthy of appreciation.
The song might grow on you after a few attempts, thanks to Rahat, but Aseer’s part of the song just seems to jolt down the vibe. There are certain ‘aww’ moments in the video, but, the overall song is average, to say the least. The forthcoming film will release on 28th December 2018.
